Cookies

As stated in our privacy policy, our websites use cookies. Please note that in addition to this Cookies Policy, you should also consult our Privacy Policy before using any of our services or features.

Cookies are used in various places on our website. Cookies are small text files that we transmit via our server to your browser’s cookie file on the hard drive of your computer. Their job is to recognize a user returning to a website. We use cookies to improve user experience and security on our website.

The first time you visit one of our websites, a cookie banner will appear, with which you can either consent to the setting of cookies requiring consent or reject them.

Once you have consented to the storing of the cookies, that option will be remembered.

If you have not consented to the storing of cookies requiring approval and you later visit another one of our websites, you will again be able to decide. Your decision to decline the storage of cookies will not be remembered.

1. We distinguish among the following types of cookies:

1.1. Cookies not requiring consent

These are absolutely essential cookies, also called "strictly necessary" ones. They ensure functions that you will need for using the website as you intend. These cookies are used only by us, and as such are referred to as first-party cookies. They are stored on your computer only during the current browser session.

No consent is required for storing strictly necessary cookies. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be disabled via the banner on this page. However, they can be disabled at any time in the browser that is being used. See the instructions below.

1.2. First-party cookies requiring consent

These are – according to their strict legal definition -- not absolutely necessary for using the website, but nonetheless they perform vital tasks. Without these cookies, features that permit comfortable browsing on our website, such as the pre-filling of forms, are not available. Settings already selected, e.g. a language option, cannot be saved, so they must be queried again on every page. Furthermore, we are no longer able to make customised offers. Beneath is a list of first-party cookies used, with a description of each:

• Auto-login cookie

Task: This cookie remembers if a user is logged in or not. Length of storage: Session cookies (temporary)which expire at the end of the session, or some data for up to 2 weeks (all data are anonymous or anonymised)

1.3. Third-party cookies requiring consent

Third-party content is incorporated into the site. These third-party suppliers are theoretically able to set cookies while you visit the website. They do this, for example, to be notified whenever you access one of our websites. Please visit the websites of these third parties for more information on how they use cookies.

• Google Analytics:

Google Analytics uses cookies that are text files stored on your device to enable analysis of how you use websites. The information collected and generated by the cookies about how you use these websites (including your IP address) is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymization is activated on the websites, Google will truncate your IP address beforehand if you are in a member State of the European Union or of the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will a complete IP address be sent to a Google server in the US. Any complete IP addresses received are truncated at their destination. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate how you use the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide other services related to website activity and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address sent by your browser when using Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

Storage: You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser settings; however, please note that if you block cookies you might then be unable to use all the features of IMMOFINANZ websites to the full. IMMOFINANZ websites also use the UserID features of Analytics for tracking interaction data. In addition, this user ID is anonymised and encrypted and is not associated with other data.

Google will use this information to evaluate use of our website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to use of the website and of the internet.

• Google AdWords

This website uses cookies from Google AdWords, and within Google AdWords it uses conversion tracking and remarketing codes. Google AdWords will store a conversion tracking cookie if you click on an ad displayed by Google. If you visit certain pages on our website, Google and we will be informed that you clicked on the ad and were redirected to this page. Information obtained through conversion cookies is used for generating statistics for AdWords advertisers who use conversion tracking. These statistics tell us the total number of users who clicked on the ad displayed by Google and viewed a page containing a conversion tracking tag. Google's Remarketing feature helps us reach users who have already visited our site. This allows us to present our advertising to target groups that have already expressed interest in our goods or services (https://support.google.com/adwords),

Length of storage: 30 days (all data are anonymous or anonymised)

• Retargeting

Re-targeting involves third-party companies. Immofinanz AG also uses so-called re-targeting software. This technology enables targeting a user with advertising on other websites as well. In this way users can be exposed to advertising selected to appeal to their respective interests. For this purpose, the aforesaid cookies (session cookies - temporary - or permanent cookies) are used too, with which prior usage behaviour can be read out. Also in this case no personal data are stored or transferred. Third-party firms likewise receive none of the user’s personal data. Only advertisements are displayed, and data (cookies that record user behaviour) are not merged with the personal data of any identifiable person. The third party too is unable to connect user behaviour to the user’s identity.

• Facebook, LinkedIn, XING, KUNUNU, Twitter, Google

This website uses Facebook, LinkedIn, XING, KUNUNU, Twitter and Google Plus, all of which set cookies. These pixels can be used to track user-defined target groups and conversion events. In this way multiple custom events can be sent from a single page, and additional data can be obtained from the referrer URL. Accordingly, certain behaviour patterns can be recorded and analysed that allow detailed inferences to be drawn about how effective the advertisement is and which user groups are targeted, so that they can assist in optimising the ads and making them more attractive.

Length of storage: Session cookies (temporary) expire at the end of the session. Persistent cookies are stored for longer. All data are anonymous or anonymised, so that we do not see any personal data from individual users. However, these data are recorded and processed by the listed social media. We report to you whatever information is available to us. If, while using any of our websites, you have opened your account on any of these social media, they will be able to associate that information with your account and then use it for their own promotional purposes, depending on the applicable data usage policy. You can enable these social media and their affiliates to display ads both on and off social media.

2. How to disable cookies requiring consent:

If you have consented to the storing of cookies requiring consent and you later disable them, we will delete any cookies requiring consent that may have been stored until then. However, this does not apply to cookies stored by third parties like Facebook, Twitter, and so forth. You can only delete these cookies yourself in your browser settings. Once you disable the storage of cookies requiring consent, no further cookies requiring consent shall be stored.

"Do not track" feature:

Some web browsers have a "do not track" feature that tells websites not to record your online activities. So far these features have not yet been standardised. For this reason, our websites are not yet geared to processing this information and responding to it.
