Cinema City International, a company listed on the Warsaw stock exchange, is the biggest cinema multiplex operator from Israel and Central and Eastern Europe. The company continuously develops its network on a market of over 100 million persons, reaching seven countries: Israel, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria, Slovakia, and Romania.
At this moment, Cinema City has, in all the seven countries, a network of 94 multiplex cinemas, with a total of 890 theatres, and a capacity of over 175,000 seats and 9 IMAX theatres. Cinema City is the cinema operator with the largest rate of growth in Europe, with over 36 multiplexes (a total of 360 theatres) being built at this moment.
Along with the sales generated by tickets and services in multiplexes, Cinema City also obtains income from film distribution (having an exclusive license to distribute Disney productions in Israel, Poland, Hungary and Romania through its subsidiary Forum Film), from DVD and VHS sales, advertisement and a variety of real estate projects connected to the cinema complexes it operates. The Cinema City International Group has over 4,000 employees in all the 7 countries where it has cinema networks.
At a national level, Cinema City operates multiplexes in Bucharest, Arad, Pitești, Iași, Timișoara, Cluj-Napoca, Bacău, Baia Mare, and Brăila.
