Evacuation Drill Organized at VIVO! Cluj-Napoca Together with ISU Cluj
On May 21, 2026, at 09:00 AM, an evacuation drill in case of fire was conducted at VIVO! Cluj-Napoca, organized together with Cluj County Emergency Situations Inspectorate, with the purpose of testing and improving response capabilities in real emergency situations.
The drill included a complex intervention scenario involving operational forces on site, a simulated fire, and casualties, as part of the shopping center’s ongoing preparedness and prevention process.
The following participants took part in the exercise:
- • Cluj County Emergency Situations Inspectorate, which also deployed fire engines for firefighting operations
- • Representatives of the Romanian Police
- • The Private Emergency Situations Service (SPSU)
- • The shopping center’s security and guarding company
- • The maintenance company
- • The fire safety technical officer (PSI)
As part of the simulation and to test a workflow as close as possible to a real-life situation, SMURD teams were also involved in the intervention, acting according to specific emergency response procedures.
Such exercises are essential for evaluating response times, coordinating the teams involved, and verifying evacuation and intervention procedures, contributing to an increased level of safety for customers, tenants, and employees.
By regularly organizing these simulations, VIVO! Cluj-Napoca reaffirms its commitment to community safety and to maintaining an environment prepared to respond effectively in emergency situations.
