The Naglreiter bakery was founded by Hans and Emmi Naglreiter in 1989 as a small family business. They started with 16 employees and supplied nearby shops and hotels.

In the ensuing years, the first retail shops were set up, which triggered further development.
At present, the Naglreiter bakery has 15 establishments in Austria with 160 employees.

The company is still a family business despite its expansion.
In 2007, Naglreiter also started doing business in Slovakia and established HM Naglreiter s.r.o.
