Transilvania® Bank is among the first banking institutions in Romania, from the assets point of view. It has a majority of private capital and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development that holds 15% of the nominal share capital is a significant shareholder.

BT is a financial institution with national representation, with more than 500 units and approximately 6,000 employees. According to research carried out in 2008, Transilvania® Bank is among the most famous 10 Romanian brands. It is the first banking institution from Romania listed at the Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB), in 1997.

The activity of Transilvania® Bank is organised into four main business lines – natural persons, IMMs (Small and Medium Sized Enterprises), big companies, respectively the Division for Doctors – for whom the bank has specific products and services, as well as dedicated staff.
