KOOPERATIVA poisťovňa, a. s. Vienna Insurance Group was established on 30 October 1990 as the first private universal insurance company in Slovakia. In the early years of its activities, it built a stable and successful insurance company. This position has been maintained despite growing competition, thanks to the trust of its clients.

The majority shareholder of the company is one of the most important insurance companies in Austria, Vienna Insurance Group AG Wiener Versicherung Gruppe. KOOPERATIVA is a member of the strong European group Vienna Insurance Group, which is represented throughout Europe.
